I like these clues that hint at an alternative truth behind the image. A theme that comes into play here is the artificiality of the home - I’ve often seen culture as something that gets in the way of seeing, as pulling the wool over our eyes. I see parents as the agents of culture, and the home as the manifestation of this culture that I endeavour to escape and think outside of. To think outside of the normal. I wonder if it is a mere coincidence that my father’s name is Norman.
